SAFe Certification Requirements

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites to take the class (no prior certification requirement, no educational requirement, no work experience requirement), to complete the exam, or to receive the SAFe certificate. It is recommended that you understand the basics of agile and Scrum through (a) work experience, and/ or (b) certifications such as SAFe SA (Leading SAFe), SAFe SP (SAFe for Teams), CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, and/ or (c) reading a good book on agile.

Exam: The class includes Scaled Agile's SAFe exam certification fee. In order to take the SAFe exam, you must attend the class. The SAFe exam is administered online and accessible to you after the conclusion of the class. You have 30 day access to take the exam. The SAFe ASM exam consists of 60 questions in multiple choice format; you need to answer 42 out of the 60 questions (or 70%) correctly within 2 hours. The SAFe PO/PM exam consists of 45 questions in multiple choice format; you need to answer 35 out of the 45 questions (or 78%) correctly within 1.5 hours.

Membership: The class includes a 1 year membership with Scaled Agile, Through Scaled Agile, you can join local user groups and online social networks. After passing the exam, you can market yourself more effectively by letting others know about your SAFe certification, and through a profile on the Scaled Agile website. You also have the option to participate in the SAFe Meetup Group.
