PMP Exam Requirements

Prerequisites: The educational requirement to take the PMP exam is a 35 hour project management class, either online or in-class. The work experience requirement to take the PMP exam is, if you hold a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years of project management work experience, and, if you hold a high school degree, a minimum of 5 years of project management work experience.
If you do not meet the PMP work experience requirement, please take PMI's CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) exam instead; the educational requirement to take the CAPM exam is satisfied after taking the PMP class, either online or in-class; there is no work experience requirement to take the CAPM exam.

Test: The PMP (and CAPM) exam is administered online.
